The air we breathe every day is not just oxygen. In fact, it is a mixture of gases, and nitrogen makes up the largest part of the air.
Composition of atmospheric air:
Nitrogen (N₂) — about 78%
Oxygen (O₂) — about 21%
Argon — approximately 0.93%
Carbon dioxide (CO₂) — about 0.04%
Other gases — less than 0.03%
Nitrogen is a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas. It does not support combustion or breathing, but it plays a crucial role in nature and modern technology. Thanks to its unique properties, liquid nitrogen can be used. It boils at −196°C (−321°F) and allows for spectacular scientific experiments.
At Nitro7Lab science shows, we demonstrate how ordinary air turns into exciting science: objects freeze instantly, materials change their properties, and complex physical processes become clear and engaging.
