Is –321°F magic or science?
Liquid nitrogen is just regular nitrogen — the same gas that makes up over 70% of the air we breathe — but cooled down to –321°F (–196°C)! At this super low temperature, it turns into a clear, water-like liquid with no taste or smell — but it’s extremely cold!
Why is it so amazing?
Liquid nitrogen can instantly freeze almost anything it touches. Flowers become as brittle as glass. Rubber balloons shatter like ice. You can even hammer a nail with a frozen banana! It’s real science magic — and we love showing it in our performances.
A few fun facts:
Boiling point: –321°F (–196°C). At room temperature, it starts to evaporate instantly, creating clouds of fog-like vapor.
It’s safe when used properly — non-toxic and non-flammable.
It’s used in medicine to remove warts and in modern kitchens to instantly freeze ice cream and fruit.
